Singularity Summit

I'm going to attend an unusual event in a couple of weeks - the Singularity Summit. Here's what Tyler Emerson says about it:

In the coming decades, humanity will likely create a powerful artificial intelligence. The Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence exists to confront this urgent challenge, both the opportunity and the risk.

From Executive Director Tyler Emerson
We are 13 days away from the Singularity Summit, September 8th-9th at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. We have just a few hundred seats left. Tickets are only $50 – one magnitude less than the usual rate for this scale of event. (We have kept our costs down, allowing more people to attend.) The Singularity Summit, and the group we gather to it, does not occur anywhere else in the world. I am looking forward to seeing many of you in two weeks.

Why should you attend the Singularity Summit? Look at what you get for $50:

* Entrance to the premier Singularity event
* Presentations by 18 outstanding thinkers
* Opportunity to meet a ton of amazing people
* Free lunch on both days
* Demo of Powerset's Powerlabs
* Opportunity to meet the speakers at the reception
* Extensive audience Q&A on both days
* Special presentation by Artificial Development
* Special presentation by X PRIZE Foundation
