My friend Dr. Glenda Scales is Associate Dean of the Virginia Tech College of Engineering. She just wrote me: "Our Student Technology Council is sponsoring a Technology Conference....  We are looking for asll kinds of technology. The date is March 27th (11 am - 3 pm). The booth fee is $500 and we are also looking for door prizes."

The purpose of this showcase is to highlight what students, faculty, and companies are doing in a booth setting so that you are able to go around and visit with individual groups.  We have student design teams showcasing their projects, faculty doing 15 minutes presentations on their research at Virginia Tech, and companies that come to show what their latest products are.  Last year we had over 700 attend this event in its inaugural state.  This year we hope to increase that attendance by having a larger number of companies and great door prizes to attract the Virginia Tech Community.  Please consider being apart of this event.

The showcase set up provides an opportunity to interact with the student design teams and engineering faculty and staff that participate and attend the Showcase. This year we are having a faculty/exhibitor breakfast before the fair which will also give another opportunity for your company to meet face to face with the Virginia Tech faculty.  This event is promoted to all the engineering students and engineering faculty and company rep comments last year said this unique setting having companies and student design teams gave them a better insight into what students were doing.

Showcase date and time: Tuesday, March 27, 2007, from 11am to 3pm with set up and take down time an hour before and after.
