Past, Present, and Future

Interesting thoughts.

Past, Present, and Future
By Loyd Case

Recently, I bought an audio book in digital form, downloaded it, and burned it to a CD. Then I proceeded to listen to it in my Honda Accord Hybrid in the six-disc CD changer. CD changers—that almost seems quaint now—but I digress.

The audio book was I, Robot, by Isaac Asimov. I, Robot is actually a collection of stories Asimov linked together into one relatively coherent volume. The copyright date is 1950, so the stories were written prior to that. I suspect Asimov might have been both bemused and intrigued by the way I obtained the audio version of his book. No cash changed hands, just bits exchanged over the Net.

Past, Present, and Future.
